Benni In The Middle is currently available exclusively in Australia. We use location verification to ensure our community stays local, safe, and properly moderated. If you've been blocked, don't stress β here's everything you need to know.
Why Australia Only?
We're a fresh platform and we're starting local to:
- β’Build a tight-knit, trusted community first
- β’Ensure we can properly support every user
- β’Comply with Australian laws and regulations
- β’Perfect the vibe before going global
Global expansion? It's on the roadmap fr fr. But for now, we're keeping it close to home.
What We Check
When you visit Benni, we verify a few things in the background:
- β’Your general geographic location (country-level)
- β’Whether your connection looks legit
- β’Basic security signals to protect our community
We don't track your exact address, store personal location data, or do anything creepy. Just a quick vibe check to make sure you're in Oz.
Why You Might Be Blocked
There are a few reasons you might see a block screen:
- β’You're accessing from outside Australia
- β’You're using a VPN, proxy, or Tor (we can't verify your real location)
- β’Your network is flagging as high-risk (shared/corporate networks sometimes do this)
- β’Something technical is being a bit wonky on our end
VPNs, Proxies & Tor
We get it β VPNs are great for privacy. But they also make it impossible for us to verify you're actually in Australia. If you're using a VPN, proxy, or Tor:
- β’Try disabling it temporarily
- β’Use your regular mobile data or home WiFi
- β’If you're in Australia but still blocked, hit us up
We're not trying to be difficult β we just need to keep the platform safe and compliant.
Think It's a Mistake?
Sometimes tech has a moment. If you're definitely in Australia and not using a VPN but still getting blocked:
- β’Try switching networks (WiFi to mobile, or vice versa)
- β’Clear your browser cache and cookies
- β’Try a different browser
- β’Wait a few minutes and try again

What We Don't Do
Let's clear the air on what this isn't:

- β’We don't track your movements
- β’We don't sell or share location data
- β’We don't use this for advertising

This is purely a "are you in Australia?" check. That's it. No cap.
Search Engines & Bots
Googlebot, Bingbot, and other legit search engine crawlers are always welcome β no geo-restrictions for them. This helps ensure Benni stays discoverable and indexed properly, even though the platform is Australia-only for users.
